Who owns Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein

Both belong to PVH Corp. Hugo Boss does not — a mix-up that circulates so persistently it is worth settling with the filing.

The claim that will not die

You will find it in videos, forum posts and comment sections: Hugo Boss and Tommy Hilfiger supposedly belong to the same owner. They do not. Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein belong to PVH Corp., a listed American company. Hugo Boss AG is listed separately with no controlling parent — around 59 % of its shares are in free float.

We mention this not to score a point but because it is the clearest example of how these claims spread: repeated often enough, they start to feel verified. Both statements above can be checked in each company’s own filings, and that is the only reason we publish them.

Two brands carry the company

PVH states in its annual report that Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein together generated over 90 % of revenue in each of 2024, 2023 and 2022. For a group of that size, that is an unusual concentration — most portfolios spread the load further.

On production, PVH publishes a supplier disclosure listing factory name, address, number of workers, product type and vendor level. Its goods were produced in roughly 1,000 factories across around 40 countries in fiscal 2024. That places the two brands in the same disclosure category as H&M Group and Fast Retailing in our directory — a correction to our own earlier entry, which had recorded no disclosure simply because we had not yet checked.
