A brand that starts at the raw material
Most fashion brands buy cloth. Loro Piana makes it — cashmere, fine wool, vicuña — and then makes clothes from it. For a site whose central question is what the material is worth, this is the rare case where brand and material coincide.
That is precisely why this house would be our sharpest test: a company that buys and spins its own fibre can state staple length, micron count and origin without asking anyone — the very figures missing everywhere else.
Whoever buys the fibre knows its numbers. Whether they publish them is a second question.
Whether and where Loro Piana publishes them we have not yet checked at the product pages. Until then the fields stay empty.
