On 30 July 2026 we opened the page for the Small 16 Bag in satinated calfskin, $4,650, article 188003BEY.38NO. Under “Details” it names the material — calfskin, lambskin lining, gold finishing.
We then searched the entire document, 398,000 characters, not only the visible text. No “Made in”, no “Fabriqué en”, no country name. The structured product data carries no origin field either — unlike Givenchy in the same group, where exactly that field reads “Italy”.
At $4,650 the question of where is not curiosity. It is the minimum.
The house
Céline Vipiana founded the company in Paris in 1945 together with her husband Richard. LVMH bought it in 1996; an Arnault-side holding had existed since 1987. The house is known for leather goods, particularly the Triomphe and Luggage lines, and for trench coats.
Creative direction has been held since 2025 by Michael Rider, announced in October 2024 as successor to Hedi Slimane; the first show ran on 6 July 2025.
